Terms of Service

Auto Buyer Advocates provides vehicle acquisition consulting services to consumers and businesses. Our services include, but are not limited to, market pricing analysis, trade-in review, lease analysis, vehicle history review, purchase document review, dealer communication support, and referrals or introductions to third-party providers when appropriate.

Auto Buyer Advocates provides consulting services only. We do not provide legal, tax, accounting, insurance, lending, investment, or financial advice. Clients should consult their own qualified professional advisors regarding those matters.

Auto Buyer Advocates does not purchase, sell, lease, finance, or insure vehicles. We do not act as a dealer, broker, lender, or insurance agent.

Auto Buyer Advocates acts solely as an independent consulting provider. Nothing in these Terms creates a fiduciary, agency, partnership, employment, or broker-client relationship between Auto Buyer Advocates and any client.

Our standard consulting engagement is offered at a flat fee of $499 ("Engagement Fee"). The Engagement Fee covers the full scope of services described in our engagement summary and on our Services page.

The Engagement Fee is due prior to or at the commencement of the consulting engagement. Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of engagement.

There are no hourly billing charges, hidden fees, or additional charges for services within the scope of the standard engagement. Any services outside the standard engagement scope will be disclosed and agreed upon in advance.

Cancellation Before Work Begins: If you cancel your engagement before Auto Buyer Advocates has commenced any substantive work on your behalf, you are entitled to a full refund of the Engagement Fee.

Cancellation After Work Has Commenced: Once Auto Buyer Advocates has commenced substantive work on your engagement — including but not limited to market research, pricing analysis, vehicle review, or any other consulting activity — the Engagement Fee is non-refundable.

What Constitutes Commencement: Work is considered to have commenced upon the earlier of: (a) delivery of any research, analysis, or consulting materials to you; (b) any substantive communication between Auto Buyer Advocates and a third party on your behalf; or (c) written confirmation from Auto Buyer Advocates that your engagement has begun.

Auto Buyer Advocates provides professional consulting guidance based on available information, market data, and industry experience. We make no guarantee of any specific outcome, including but not limited to:

• Savings on the purchase price, lease payment, or total cost of any vehicle

• Approval for financing or lease by any lender or lessor

• Availability of any specific vehicle, trim level, or configuration

• Compliance by any dealership, lender, or third party with our recommendations or guidance

• Accuracy or completeness of third-party vehicle history reports or condition disclosures

Our role is to provide professional guidance and information. All final purchase, lease, financing, and trade-in decisions are made solely by the client.

Auto Buyer Advocates is an independent vehicle acquisition consulting company. We are not owned by or affiliated with any dealership, manufacturer, lender, or automotive retailer.

In some cases, Auto Buyer Advocates may receive disclosed referral fees, marketing fees, advertising compensation, lead generation compensation, introduction fees, or other forms of compensation from third-party providers. Any such compensation, when applicable, will be disclosed to the client. The existence of such compensation arrangements does not alter our commitment to providing professional guidance based on each client's stated goals, preferences, and vehicle acquisition needs.

Clients are under no obligation to use any third-party provider introduced or recommended by Auto Buyer Advocates.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Auto Buyer Advocates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services, including but not limited to any vehicle purchase, lease, trade-in, or financing transaction you enter into.

In no event shall Auto Buyer Advocates' total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or our services exceed the amount of the Engagement Fee paid by you for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Auto Buyer Advocates and its principals, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of our services; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) any vehicle transaction you enter into based on or independent of our consulting guidance.

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and design, is the property of Auto Buyer Advocates and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this website without our express written permission.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Lake County, Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website or services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
